Piers Williamson - Chief Executive

Piers Williamson was appointed chief executive of THFC in October 2002 and joined its board in 2003. He has nearly 30 years of experience of the UK, US and European financial markets specialising in bank treasury risk management and securitisation.

He holds professional qualifications in both treasury and banking and in addition to his duties at THFC has recently completed a six year spell as a non executive director of Cooperative Bank and Cooperative Insurance, where he was Chair of the Risk Management Committee. Amongst other matters, Piers oversaw the merger with Britannia in 2009 and more recently the sale of the life insurance business.

Piers is also a Commissioner of the GLA's London Sustainable Development Commission.



Colin Burke ICAEW, BSc (Hons) - Finance Manager and Group Company Secretary
Colin Burke joined THFC in October 2002. After qualifying with Spicer & Peglar in Leeds, Colin has built up over 15 years of financial and management accounting experience, principally in the publishing and media world. He also has first hand experience of implementing new accounting systems and mergers and acquisitions.


Fenella Edge - GROUP TREASURER
Fenella Edge joined THFC in 2002 having previously spent 11 years at Abbey National Treasury Services (“ANTS”). Her roles at ANTS included Director of Market Risk, Director of Financial Products and Manager, Capital Markets. Prior to joining ANTS she was at Wood Gundy, Elders Finance Group and Nikko Securities in a variety of capital markets and derivative roles. She was appointed to the board in April 2006.


Nigel Perryman FCCA - Relationship Manager

Nigel joined THFC in January 2005 having, as he says, “had a career of two halves”. In the first half he worked in the finance functions of large corporations such as Esso, RCA and Hogg Robinson. In the second half he progressively moved into the property sector. Initially, working in property development companies both listed and private which involved raising development finance via public offerings, through joint ventures and by traditional bank finance. He then moved to the RSL sector and has worked in three completely different Associations, a small specialist care provider, a large traditional Association and an LSVT. Treasury work has been a significant feature of all three roles and he undertook a £75m refinancing during this time. Thus he joined THFC with not only a broad range of experience, but with an understanding of the practical day to day difficulties that borrowers can face when dealing with loan management issues.

Since joining THFC he has been involved in lending over £1bn to housing associations.



Steve Primarolo - Relationship Manager

Steve joined THFC in September 2008 having worked in corporate banking for the previous 27 years, most recently at the Bank of Scotland and formatively at BNP Paribas, where he was exposed to public sector lending when it entered the lending arena in the early 90s. As well as working on social housing loans Steve has been involved with all aspects of PFI, Local Authority and general corporate lending over the years.



YANG-MAY OOI - SECURITY ASSET MANAGER
Yang-May Ooi has been with THFC as Security Asset Manager since 2006. She came to us from Trowers & Hamlins where she was a senior solicitor, specialising in housing project work and property charging, acting for housing associations and also funders. She is responsible for all aspects of security associated with our loan portfolio including charging properties and managing asset value compliance. She is assisted by Isabel Jimenez, our Security Asset Analyst.


Ian Lloyd - Accounts and Loans Administrator

Ian joined THFC in 2003 and is the Accounts & Loans Administrator.

He is currently studying for the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants professional qualification, sponsored by the company.



Isabel Jiménez - SECURITY ASSET ANALYST

Isabel joined THFC in December 2005 after spending 4 years at the Basic Skills Agency. Over this period she worked in the Teacher Training, Professional Development and Corporate Administration Team where her daily tasks ranged from event organising and setting up of training courses, to leading on tender processes for key contracts.

Isabel first joined THFC as an Executive Assistant, but following maternity leave, she now works closely with Yang-May Ooi, our Security Asset Manager, on property matters. Isabel is responsible for analysing valuation data and working on related processes such as property releases.

 


Fiona McKinnon - Executive Assistant
Prior to joining THFC, Fiona spent eleven years in the role of PA to the Chief Executive of The Association of Corporate Treasurers. In this role she was utilising her traditional skills and values supporting the Chief Executive and Executive Committee with extensive diary planning, liaising with a multitude of other City based Professional Bodies and Banks, in addition to assisting the Chief Executive with his NED roles and in his capacity as Project Leader helped with the setting up of The Damilola Taylor Trust. She is a member of EUMA (European Management Assistants).  


Luke Sinclair - Accounts/Administrative Assistant

Luke joined the company in December 2007 as Accounts & Administration assistant in the finance department  having previously spent the past 7 years working within Retail Finance for Cancer Research UK.

He is currently studying towards the Association of Accounting Technicians professional qualification.

 


William Stevenson - Treasury Analyst

Will Joined THFC as a Treasury Analyst in September 2009 having graduated in Mathematics from the University of Sussex.

He is currently training towards the AMCT professional treasury qualification.
